Tiffani Swalley (she/they) is a director, performer and playwright based out of New York City and Chicago. They are drawn to artistic work that examines social & gender constructs, stories of survival & healing, immersive audience experiences and using music, movement & a variety of media to modernize classic stories.

Tiffani is an Associate Director for Broadway’s Hadestown and The Hadestown National Tour. They were Assistant Director on Broadway’s The Thanksgiving Play directed by Rachel Chavkin. She has Assistant Directed Siti Company’s Radio Macbeth and War of the Worlds directed by Anne Bogart and Darron West.

They are obtaining their Master’s in Directing from Columbia University, where they have directed a range of work including: Medea: An Adaptation by Ben Power, Shakespeare’s Macbeth, An Evening of Chekhov’s Vaudevilles and Queen of the Hive (which she also wrote). Tiffani’s work has been featured at The New York City Fringe Festival, The NYC United Solo Festival and various venues in Chicago including The Second City.

Tiffani’s directing work is represented by A3 Artists Agency in New York City and performance work by Shirley Hamilton’s. Tiffani is a proud member of SDC Society.
